Fat Cats
This post was inspired by some photos of white cats from Lexie Macchi’s Tumblr. Fat cats? Hilarious.
Found on Google image search.

Vivian Maier
So EVERYONE and his/her mother has been blogging about the newly found archive of an unknown street photographer named Vivian Maier. (I particularly love the disclaimer on the website: “She was not Jewish”.) Some of the photos are pretty funny and original, but a lot seem typical of street photography of the time period. I think the novelty of finding an archive is more in play here than the uniqueness of the work. Maybe it’s just that the owner of the archive isn’t the best curator, and the real gems lie quietly in the stacks of 100,000 negatives. Still, it’s great to have a female artist in the news, right?

Poodle City
I’ve already had a poodle post, but this beats it out of the water. I’ve been seeing these pictures all over the place, and there is a new show on TLC about them. I mean, what brave new worlds has TLC not visited, am I right?
I found these all over the internets. I’m sure they all have rightful owners (the dogs probably do, too). UPDATE: Here is an article with great big photos by Ren Netherland.

National Museum of the American Indian
This place has the craziest cafe! It’s all split up into various places where Native Americans live, and the food at each station is local to the place. My favorite was the “middle plains” (or something like that), which featured burgers and fries. Well, it is local. Aside from providing sustenance, the Museum is an amazing place (except for the 1st floor bathroom). There are thousands of artifacts, displays, feathers, beads, and moccasins. I loved it and would totally recommend you go. Thanks for showing me the way, Jaime!
