Kyary Pamyu Pamyu’s Video for PONPONPON

THIS VIDEO

Most of the internet has alerted me to the existence of this video. THIS VIDEO! It’s doing it. I like the background dancers the best, but you can have a different favorite part.

Because I am actually procrastinating right now, I found out that the “art” in the video was “done” by this guy named Sebastian Masuda. He makes accessories for this brand called 6% Dokidoki? The question mark was added by me because I don’t think I actually care about this at all.

Hey I’m not dead I was just settling into my boring job and becoming a boring person but also I moved! None of those things matter! Look at this stuff! Jiggery Pokery is some unfortunately named British design team. They make ALL OF THE COOL THINGS! I don’t even know what they are doing!

I could see this guy getting along quite well in Baltimore. Right?

I like it when art is both pretty and ugly at the same time. I like it in people, too. Work by Yago Hortal.

Lauren Clay

I’m such a dumb sucker for color. You could hand me a turd painted rainbow and my retinas would probably cream their pants. Unrelated (yes?),  I enjoy these gouache paintings by Lauren Clay.

“Found object” sculptures by Japanese artist Hideki Kuwajima. Man, they sure do throw away pretty new-looking stuff in Japan! Dumpster diving over there must be pretty awesome.

Clark Goolsby

Doing this quick to get that dirty taste out of your mouth. Clark Goolsby looks like something Baltimore would like. Right? Also his last name is kind of the coolest. I don’t know. This is just going up so I don’t feel like a huge creep.

Alex Da Corte

I remember seeing Alex’s work around Philly when I lived there, and envying his freedom with objects. Not much has changed (except I think the website’s freshly made). My favorite is the fake fingernail snake- I think I included it twice, so you can see two sides. So good.
